The approach
Light sets the tone, and I follow it.
I let available light and atmosphere determine the mood of each scene. Rather than building the look around equipment, I wait for the moment when the light and the subject align, then compose with restraint.
Natural light, the grain of 35mm film, and quiet gestures carry most of the meaning in my work. I favour cinematic scale over spectacle, so each frame has room to breathe.
How I work
Sequence matters as much as the single frame.
I compose frames with restraint, focusing on quiet gestures and cinematic scale. Each image is considered within the sequence it belongs to, so the pacing and tonal shifts from one frame to the next shape how the work is read.
I work best on editorial commissions, visual narratives, and select collaborations where a considered eye and a clear visual atmosphere are valued. If your project calls for that kind of cinematic restraint, I would welcome the conversation.
